Installing the Module in a Desktop Chassis
The recommended installation procedure for a typical desktop chassis is as follows:

  1. Make sure that the system is turned off and disconnected from its power source.
  2. Remove the plastic cover from an empty 5-1/4 inch drive bay in the chassis bezel (A). If the drive bay cover is metal, coverage range may be limited.
  3. Remove the metal filler plate from the internal drive bay (B).
  4. Remove the paper backing covering the adhesive on the back of the WiFi/Bluetooth Module and attach the module to the back side of the plastic drive bay cover (C).
  5. Connect one end of the USB cable to the connector on the front of the module (D).
  6. Reinstall the plastic drive bay cover in the chassis bezel while routing the USB cable into the chassis through the empty drive bay (E).
  7. Connect the free end of the USB cable to an unused front panel USB header on the Desktop Board (F).

Installing Drivers
The latest wireless LAN (WiFi) and Bluetooth* drivers are available (separately) on Download Center. After installing the drivers, Device Manager will show the following entries:

Connect to a WiFi Network
To connect your PC to a wireless network:

  1. Click the Network Connection icon on the Windows* taskbar.
  2. Click an available network and then click the Connect button. If the wireless network is secured, you will be prompted to enter the SSID and network password.
  3. Follow all prompts in the connection wizard.

Using Bluetooth*
Bluetooth* allows you to do any of the following:

  • Use a Bluetooth mouse, keyboard, gamepad or printer to eliminate cables.
  • Transfer files between your PC and Bluetooth devices, such as cell phones or PDAs.

  • My Received Files – open folder containing files received via Bluetooth.
