I have the lexmark x2470 printer which works fine on my old windows xp computer and used to work on the new one until windows 10 was installed. I have followed instructions given on this site to download printer software using windows 7 compatability which I have now done several times but each time I get that the driver lxcrpswx.exe cannot be located.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the lexmark software now umpteen times but it simply refuses to recognise that the printer exists.

I previously asked about resolving a lexmark x2470 installation problem. I and windows browsing have been unable to locate the driver for the programme. It works fine on my old windows xp computer but my new one with windows 10 is doesnt work at all. I have downloaded installed and uninstalled the software several time from lexmark site but the driver to initiate it is not to be found. I have searched my system for hours and have managed to locate lxcrpswx.ex_ and not lxcrpswx.exe which is what windows dialogue box is telling me, IF the aforementioned are identical files, which I hope they are, how can I use this to get the printer working or better what do I need to do to get this to work.
