I'm planning on getting a D-Link DIR-600 to be used as a WLAN access point, and for WEP/WPA certificate management. DD-WRT and OpenWRT are your two best bets for the D-600. They can do most o fwhat Tomato can do, so unless you need something specific to Tomato, this router. Steps from my last post are for the D-Link DIR-600 in Rev. B1 and B2, so you can use given links. To clarify, the Firmware version 2.10 also is called 'Middle Firmware Upgrade', like 'Iwarez Iwarez' also mentioned: 'I have 2.05 version and first step: you must install F/W 2.10 DIR600_middle_firmware_upgrade.bin'.
